Dr Michael Arbel opened Southwest Pediatrics in March of 2009 since then Southwest Pediatrics has grown tremendously. In September of 2017 Southwest Pediatrics joined with several other Pediatrics practices to form Arbor Medical Partners.

Dr. Michael Z. Arbel was born and raised in Israel where he completed his medical degree at the Israel Institute of Technology School of Medicine. Dr. Arbel completed his pediatric residency program at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn. In 1991, Dr. Arbel completed his Ambulatory fellowship at the New York University School of Medicine. Dr Arbel is fluent in Spanish and Hebrew.
Dr. Arbel is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is an active member in the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Arizona Pediatric Council.
Dr. Arbel has been a practicing Pediatrician in the West Valley since he moved to Arizona in 1993. In his spare time, you can find Dr. Arbel hiking, traveling or just spending time with his wife, three daughters and granddaughter.

Jennifer has been a practicing Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Valley for over 20 years and a pediatric nurse for over 30 years. She graduated from Arizona State University with her Masters in Nursing in 2002. She is nationally certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the PNCB. She is fluent in Spanish.She is a current member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners both at the national and local levels.
Jennifer is married with three children. She is originally from St. Louis, Missourri and moved to Scottsdale at the age of 16 with her parents and siblings. She enjoys camping, reading, hiking, relaxing in Mexico on the beach, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Tarek El-Masri is new to Arizona with 23 years of experience as a Pediatrician, he moved to the valley after practicing in Leitchfield, Kentucky for 14 years. He is fluent in English, Arabic and French.
Tarek and his wife, an 8th grade teacher, enjoy time with their 3 children. Their oldest is a student as ASU who enjoys soccer, his daughter is an avid swimmer, and his youngest daughter enjoys cooking and aspires to be a Chef.
Dr. El-Masri enjoys all aspects of pediatric development and growth and is especially knowledgeable in assessing and treating asthma.

Sara was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area but moved to Atlanta to pursue a career in nursing. She graduated with her Bachelor's in Nursing in 2019 and with her Master's in Nursing in 2021 both from Emory University. She moved to Arizona to be closer to her family and begin her career as a pediatric nurse practitioner. She is nationally certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner by the PNCB. Her favorite part of pediatrics is being able to develop relationships with patients and families and be able to see them through the various stages of childhood. Outside of pediatrics, she enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her goofy golden retriever Tino, traveling, reading, and being a Pure Barre instructor.
